Henderson Startup Incubator Graduates Its Largest Class Yet
A Henderson-based business incubator says its newest cohort of startups is its biggest and most diverse since the program launched.
A Henderson business incubator graduated its largest cohort to date this month, a milestone organizers point to as evidence that Nevada's entrepreneurial ecosystem is expanding beyond its traditional hospitality and gaming roots.
The 14-company cohort spans logistics software, medical device startups, and several consumer products companies, a broader mix than earlier classes that leaned heavily toward hospitality-adjacent technology. Program leaders say the diversification reflects both deliberate recruitment and a genuine increase in local startup activity.
Access to capital remains the biggest hurdle graduates describe, with several founders noting that Nevada still lacks the density of early-stage venture funds found in neighboring California. To help bridge that gap, the incubator has started connecting graduates directly with out-of-state investors through quarterly pitch events.
Organizers say they plan to expand the program's capacity next year in response to a growing applicant pool, though they are still finalizing funding for the expansion.
